Wedding in Aachen

Last weekend I went to Aachen (in Germany) to attend a wedding of my friend and former class-mate Christoph. 17 of our 40 classmates were there, really cool to see all these people again. It was almost like a reunion :) Marina came over from London, where she's doing a course in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming). I drove from Holland with Ramses, Pablo and Jessica on Saturday morning. After arriving at the hotel in Aachen we went for a stroll around the town and some lunch. At 3.30 the service was to start in a church near Aachen, in the best traditions of our group we almost arrived too late for the service... In the evening we had dinner and the reception, see pictures. Sunday we just hung out in Aachen and drove back to NL in the afternoon. All-in-all a very nice weekend. Sailing

I went sailing this weekend with a friend (Onno). We left on Friday evening, picked up our boat and headed out for the open sea (well almost anyway). We spent an hour or so figuring out the boat then parked it somewhere and broke out the booze. Saturday we sailed around a bit on the canals and lakes in Friesland and headed for Heeg (small town). There we had some dinner and a couple of beers. The next day we had some good sailing weather in the morning (windy but cloudy) and good chillin' weather in the afternoon (sun and zero wind). All in all a great weekend! Next week, a wedding in Aachen Germany. The weekend after that, Marina's birthday in London... :)

Homeless...

A bit of a bummer... Marina and I have got to move out of our house earlier than expected. Not a major problem but a bit of a pain as we have to pack and haul all our stuff from A to B again. We're still looking for a cool place in Amsterdam but so is almost everybody else in the Netherlands so not much luck yet...

Had a very nice weekend, the weather was very good and I went for a round of golf with my brother-in-law. I've played maybe three times since I came back from the Phillipines (several years ago) so I was bit rusty to say the least but it was good fun and I didn't do all that badly.

Now it's Monday morning again and I've got a busy week ahead of me...
