Doing the healthy thing again...

After a summer of not living all that healthily it is now time to go back to my more sustainable mode of existence... I'm swimming twice a week with Onno, on Tuesday and Thursday morning before work. We do some fifty laps, part of those are still breast stroke but we're working our way towards swimming freestyle all the way. Anyway, we're back in training :) That includes the gym of course, pumping iron 2 to 3 times a week...

So... now that summer seems to have packed up and moved out of NL, does that mean playtime's over? Hell no! :) Next week I'm going to the States to visit Michael in Portland Oregon (Mike's a friend I met skydiving in Hilversum). I'm very much looking forward to that trip! Then of course a little later in the month I'm going to visit my little sister (Mervi) in her new home in Barcelona! It'll be great to see her again and to check out Thang's (her boyfriend) new restaurant (and his cooking :)

Heh, heh, heh, it's a hard life but someone has to live it :)

Oh, my sister (Pirjo) sent me a couple of pictures she took of her daughter (my beautiful little niece) Lotta in her Nike outfit (that I got her some time ago)... check 'em out below...

30 Jumps

Well, it could have been worse... 30 jumps. We've had very strong winds, lots of clouds and some (heavy) rain. Only on Saturday did the weather improve. I've played lots of poker, seen a movie and read a book. A bit unfortunate but what the hell, I had a good time anyway. This Sunday I moved my stuff out of my old apartment and into a small room at a friend's place (Onno). I'll be living there for now...

Skydiving (?) in Belgium

The longest heatwave in recorded history (or something like that) has ended... just as I've started my week of jumping in Moorsele (Belgium)! Saturday the weather was great (7 jumps), Sunday we had to suspend jumping because of some rain (5 jumps), Monday was fine (8 jumps) and today it's been raining non stop (0 jumps)... The weather forecast is bad for the rest of today and pretty much the same for tomorrow... Should improve slightly after that.

Oh well, hopefully I will be able to do a few more jumps this week. I was considering just driving on to Soulac in France but it's an 8 hour drive and the weather forecast there is also bad!
