Got my Samsung 52" HDTV hooked up to my MacBook Pro
and... there's a (new, just out) Mac Mini on the way. I bought the standard one (0 options) and also got the 1TB Time Capsule. It's a little more expensive than adding the 500Gig harddisk (as opposed to the standard 160Gig version I got) but it gives me 660Gigs more space, a router (with 2 channels), Time Machine backups, web access to my files, printer sharing, hard disk sharing amd guest networking. It doesn't have the Airport Express' audio out for AirTunes but that doesn't matter because the mini will be hooked up to my stereo anyway...
It's going to be my home entertainment and probably communication system. I think I'll add a webcam and a mic for on the couch Skype-sessions :) Barcelona here we come!
Also, it'll be hooked up to my trusty Popcorn Hour A100. Which is nice BUT doesn't decode DTS audio and I don't have a receiver that can... (most HD stuff doesn't have AC3) So I'll play the video over the network from my Popcorn's harddrive on the Mini (can you say NERD?! :) Right now I'm looking at both Boxee and Plesk for watching my video and online stuff (Daily Shows!). Plesk seems to be the smoother of the two. I think Boxee just doesn't play nice yet with Snow Leopard (it bogs down my MacBook Pro a bit). Streaming HD content is choppy, probably due to the bandwidth of my internet connection.
I thought a major down-side to the Mini was going to be the lack of surround audio output but I think the optical digital audio output will do that trick too. That shiny black Onkyo receiver is somewhere in the future (especially if / when I'm going to get a new pad here in Amsterdam).
Oh, hooked up an old wireless BT keyboard and mouse from Logitech. Works ok but at some point I want a keyboard with a trackpad (Apple?! one that is multi touch please :) Oh Rowmote on the iPhone serves as a nice remote and keyboard and trackpad.

Miguel & Ino in Amsterdam
Led lights with built-in solar panels...
So... my bad-ass new city bike has these really cool LED-lights. They are charged through tiny solar panels in the front and back and activated by swiping this little magnet past them. How is that for cool?! :)
The only thing is... that when it's autumn and overcast and anything BUT sunny it takes...well, forever to charge them. So I came up with this solution:

vanmoof
Onno and I bought ourselves corporate bicycles :)
We both got a vanmoof. We bought them at Fiets Toom, who don't even have a website... but service is pretty decent. You get the bike (no discounts) with a few small extra's and they service the bike 3 times for free.
A couple of features:
- frame is aluminum
- lights are leds, charged by small solar panels (they are just so people can see you, you can't see shit by their light :)
- leather saddle that is hard as a rock but hopefully gets better over time
Basic parts are very solid, things like the mudguards perhaps a little less so
Oh, and I bought mine with a flaw in the paint... not a big deal it's just a discoloration but still, on a new bike.
