Het wordt een groot en gevarieerd feest met salsa-les, cocktailbar, loterij, een speciaal optreden van een salsaband en tot diep in de nacht muziek van hippe dj’s. Dus voor elk wat wils... Van te voren is er voor de liefhebber een 3-gangendiner.

Programma van 19.00 – 4.00 uur:
19.00 – 20.00 uur Borrel / cocktails
20.00 – 22.00 uur 3-gangen diner
NB wees aub op tijd aanwezig voor het diner!
22.00 – 22.45 uur Salsales van Salsa Caliente
22.45 – 23.30 uur Salsaband Sofrito Na’ más
23.30 - 2.00 uur DJ’s De Baltimora’s (Arena/Odeon)
2.00 – 4.00 uur DJ Natarcia (Roxy/Zebra Lounge)

• Je kunt je kaarten ook rechtstreeks kopen bij één van de vrienden van Hotel con Corazon (bij mij bijvoorbeeld :)

Behalve de drankjes en het eten (gaan tegen kostprijs) is voor de rest ALLES kosteloos ter beschikking gesteld (DJ's, band, locatie,...) dit betekent dat je Fiesta-kaartje en 1/3 van ieder drankje naar het goede doel gaat. Maar dat niet alleen Stichting Wilde Ganzen legt bij iedere euro nog eens €1,45 bij! Dus als je een kaartje koopt voor het feest dan gaat er zo €61,25 naar de stichting EN hoe meer je drinkt hoe meer kinderen je naar school helpt... mooi excuus he? :)

Ghent with my Mom

I took my Mom to Ghent (Belgium) this weekend. We left Saturday morning, arrived at around noon, checked into our funky hotel :) and hit the town...

Ghent is a medieval city and became important through cloth production and trade. It was at one time the second largest city in Europe (Paris being the largest). These days however, it is relatively small (230,000 people) but still has a lot to offer in terms of history and scenery and ... ehm ... beer, wine and food :)

Anyway, we had a very nice time. We stayed in a very nice hotel, run by two (gay) interior designers that have 4 hotel rooms in their funky city mansion. It's all very stylish and still has most of the original details and trimmings. Very nice (check out their website www.hotelverhaegen.be)

It was pretty rainy here in Amsterdam today and as I parked my car I came across this Volvo... Just liked the way it looked in the gray and the rain :)

Barcelona

I went to see my sister in Barcelona this weekend, together with my friend Onno! It was very, very nice! It was great to see her again and to see how her new life in Barcelona is working out. Also, we ate in Thang's restaurant 'Me' (with a dot under the e, meaning mother in Vietnamese) twice (lunch and dinner) and loved it. The place is really cool, the food is great, so is the wine, the waitresses are cute and the host is a funny dude :)

Anyway, we did not actually get to see any of the cultural highlights that the city has to offer, as we were much too busy chilling out, hanging around on the beach, consuming beverages and eating lots of food... so unfortunately our schedules did not allow time for museums, churches and such... very unfortunate :)
