Test drive
I just spent 4 hours in a Lotus Elise... Took one for a test drive this afternoon and LOVED it :) It's such a pure sports car. It weighs nothing and therefore has great power to weight ratio despite it's 1.8 liter engine (which actually still has plenty of oomph and a great sound). Anyway, I'd really really love to own one but probably can't afford it (just yet). And besides I wouldn't sleep ever again with a car like that sitting on the road in (my little corner of) Amsterdam... But hey, it was great fun, and one day... one day... :)
Beverages
We (Mariken, Onno, Afzal and Joseph) had a couple of drinks last night. Onno is back from Nicaragua for a week or so and we all had a little dinner together followed by LOTS of drinks :)
Oh, ehm... today I will be test driving a Lotus Elise! :)

Sweden
Just spent a weekend in the woods with my parents. We went to their cabin in Sweden for the Easter weekend. Very nice. NO WORK (no email or internet :) and lots of sleep!
So, batteries recharged... and back to work.

Bodies
My sister (Pirjo) and I went to see Bodies...
It's an exhibition of ehm... well... human bodies. Real ones!
Check out: www.bodiestheexhibition.com
It's really, really cool! Incredibly interesting to see how a human body functions and how everything is organized on the inside. A lot of debate about ethics and stuff but it was done very respectfully. Two displays stood out most (for me), one was a display of all the blood vessels in a human and ONLY the blood vessels of that person (amazing!), the other was a series of cross sections taken every 10 cm or so spaced out a bit.

Daan will be a father soon (goodbye) party on the 'Veluwe'
We threw a (goodbye?) party for my good friend Daan because he's going to be a father and will therefor be lost for all mankind. So we rented a couple of cabins and went biking, drinking and gambling (poker) for a weekend...
We also threw Daan out of an airplane (tandem jump at Teuge) and I joined him on the load. Hadn't jumped in ages, I was hungover, had gotten 3 hrs of sleep and ended up with a severe line twist and in a spin... hmmm... almost cut-away but got out in the end and landed safely :) That'll wake you up in a hurry!

A weekend with Lotta
Below, a couple pics of Lotta staying over in Amsterdam. We had a great time :)
Got my camera back...
Well, I got it back. The lens still makes a weird noise but does work (so far...) This of course means I should be posting a bit more on this blog. And I'll try! Although I'm very busy with work right now. Anyway, I had my niece over recently so I'll post a few pics of that weekend (which was great fun by the way).
