I'm back...

We had an excellent time in Sweden. The weather improved quite a lot and we got to spend two days with some sun. My dad and I had a good time pretending to be carpenters. I ran every day and intend to keep running here in NL.

Hope you like the pics...

A post from Sweden

So... it's now Saturday and I'm in Sweden with my parents. The weather was only so so until today. We had a very nice sunny day which melted most of the remaining snow.

It's been a very nice little vacation. I've chopped wood, built (part of) a couple of rooms on the second floor of our barn with my dad and I've been running every day. Running is pretty much new for me and I still suck pretty hard at it still but I'm getting better! Of course I've also eaten, drank and read a lot... It's a hard life :)

Anyway, one evening and one day left and then we'll be heading back home. Monday morning we'll drive back. Now it's time for me to have some dinner and a couple glasses of wine! :)

Going to Sweden for the weekend

Tuesday night my parents and I will drive to Sweden to enjoy a nice (long) weekend of sleep, food, drink, walks, books, wood and maybe a little construction! Looking forward to this weekend in a major way :) I'll post a few picks when I get back.

Beer and skydiving in Belgium

Went to Belgium this weekend with Michael. Left Amsterdam at 7 in the morning. The weather forecast was only so so but we figured we could always go do something else if necessary... and it was. It was way too windy at the DZ so we went go-kart racing. Pretty cool although the track was a bit 'average'. Checked out the DZ a second time but our Belgian friends had cracked open the beer already so we went to Brugge. Very nice place, very nice beer and a very rustic and authentic hotel :) A cool place actually, hotel Lucca. Anyway, had a couple of beers, dinner and slept in Brugge. Sunday went to the DZ again and managed 3 jumps. They were cool jumps but the pace at the DZ was way slow... bit of a bummer. Drove back to Amsterdam and had some ribs before calling it a day.

Cool weekend! :)
