Max the bum showed us around...

Marina and I spent most of our Sunday in the city. We had a great time! We met a homeless dude called Max who was French but had moved to Amsterdam some thirty years ago. He showed us around part of the city for a while and told us stuff about buildings and places. He knew more about Amsterdam than most tour guides. Actually, he sort of works as a tour guide for tourists from time to time. Very nice guy, and funny too. He 'lives' near the Munt so go there if you want an interesting guided tour of Amsterdam :)

We also went to the Comedy Cafe where they had a pretty good show. Nice!

Macro Mania

Absolutely nothing noteworthy has happened since my last post!

But... as I need to keep adding that new and interesting content that I promised... I've decided to upload a couple of pics from deep inside the archives of c:\my documents

These pics were all taken in Sweden around November 2004. Marina and I were into macro pictures as you can see (macro is basically just a close-up shot). Well, hope you enjoy the pics.

Happy Birthday Andrey (yesterday) and Merry Christmas (again)

First... HAPPY BIRTHDAY UNCLE ANDREY!!! (yesterday)
Yep, yep, yep Marina's famous uncle (see pictures below) had his birthday yesterday. He is an entomologist and studies aphids (green little buggers on plants). The picture below is an image of a new species of aphids that Andrey has discovered! And Marina and I were actually the third and fourth people in the universe to ever lay eyes on this amazing discovery. How is that for a claim to fame?! :)

Second, today is Orthodox Christmas... this means that the crazy buggers in Russia celebrate Christmas today. SO, you all have an excuse to buy caviar and vodka in great amounts and consume it all tonight! Enjoy!

New content... that's the key...

Ok, so now I've sent out a link to my obscure little blog to a lot of people... which means that I now have the responsibility to keep it interesting. And we all know what that means (and if you don't I will tell you... right now, right here... ready?... ok, here it goes...) New content!

Yep... that's the key to generating traffic... new and interesting content (actually).

So, I've posted a picture of my fish. Here he is... RICHARD! He's a gold fish. We have two actually, the other one's called Marilyn but I don't have a picture of her. When I do, I will of course post it! Heh heh. So anyway, that's my new content for today. Hope you all enjoyed it and see you soon at my exciting weblog... :)

Paris

HAPPY NEW YEAR! BEST WISHES AND ALL THAT FOR @))^!!!

Marina and I spent the last few days of 2005 in Paris!

Pretty cool place to be this time of year as the Frenchies know how to make things look festive and happy. Lights ... EVERYWHERE! The weather wasn't too great but we had an excellent time anyway. One disappointment was the fact that there weren't ANY fireworks at all. Nothing! And if you know Marina you also know that fireworks are a BIG deal :) So that was a bit of a bummer but otherwise we had a great time.
